North Penn Art now offers giclee printing. Click to see the 2015 Giclee Price List. Giclee printing is a three step process:
Step 1 – Scanning
We safely capture your original image with our high resolution digital scanner, accommodating any size, no matter how large. Our accurate scanner sees and record every detail of texture and color.
Step 2 – Giclee Printing
Next, we produce a beautiful giclee, on your choice of archival paper or canvas. Our professionally trained staff ensures color accuracy of your reproduction. You may order as many or as few as you wish. This method allows you to sell multiples of your artwork, again and again, at a reduced price of the original.
Step 3 – Finishing Services
After your giclee is produced, we can stretch, enlarge, mount, mat, shrink wrap, frame it, or make it a greeting card for a finished look. For a limited time, receive a $30 off gift certificate. As always, we guarantee your satisfaction with every job.
Giclee printing is a technology used for fine art or photograph reproduction using a very high-quality inkjet printer and quality light fast (fade resistant) archival inks to make individual copies.
The word “Giclee”, pronounced “jhee-clay”, is derived from the French word “le gicleur” meaning “nozzle”, or more specifically “gicler” meaning “to squirt, spurt, or spray”. It has to do with the fact that papers are being sprayed with pigments by nozzles with an approximate diameter of one millionth of the diameter of a hair.
North Penn Art offers a variety of media papers and canvases for giclee printing. High resolution giclee printing is an excellent choice for artists wanting to create single or multi-sized reproductions from digital files.. Contact us and we’ll recommend a paper for your project.
